“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
— Elliott Erwitt
With documentary photography, I truly am there to be a fly on the wall, not to pose or direct anyone, but to take photographs that capture the moment and the emotion. These photographs should be looked back on and really pull on the memories, take you back to the time when you were there. I usually capture some documentary style images throughout all sessions as I absolutely love the “in-between” moments, when yet let your guard down, relax and are truly your beautiful self.
During documentary sessions I often capture individual portraits as well as some details.
